Barn Eggs
Our barn eggs come from hens living in spacious, covered barns with litter, perches, and the ability to display natural behaviors.
- Indoor space: Hens have more freedom of movement than conventional laying hens.
- Outdoor access: None.
- Number of hens per m²: Maximum 9 hens per m².
- Living environment: Barns equipped with straw, perches, and nesting boxes.
- Feed: Often plant-based, sometimes organic, depending on certification.
Free-Range Eggs
These eggs come from hens with both indoor and outdoor access. The combination of freedom and comfort is reflected in the full flavor and rich color of the egg.
- Indoor space: Same as barn hens (max. 9 hens per m²)
- Outdoor access: Yes, at least 4 m² per hen
- Number of hens per m²: Maximum 9 hens per m²
- Living environment: Outside the barn, hens can forage freely in the fresh air
- Feed: Often plant-based, sometimes organic
Organic Eggs
Our organic eggs come from hens fed organic feed and raised according to the highest organic and animal-friendly standards.
- More space indoors and outdoors
- Maximum 6 hens per m² indoors
- Minimum 4 m² outdoor space per hen
- Organic feed mandatory
